Early bird registration is up TODAY for our wonderful retreat into the NC mountains! Join us to learn about the medicinal plants of Appalachia, to press cider from heirloom apples, and to learn to make basic herbal preparations!

We have two rooms left in the lodge (one Queen and one Full) and plenty of camping spots. Each room has their own bathroom and shower. Campers will have access to a bathroom in the lodge as well.

ReWild Weekend Retreat ~ Herbal Preparations, Wild Foraging, and Appalachian Heritage

at Kana’tii Lodge in Spring Creek, NC
October 3-5, 2014

Join Community Herbalists Lindsay Wilson and Mandi Sanders of MS-based Sweet Gum Springs Apothecary for a weekend retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina at Kana’ti Lodge.

The lodge is located right off the Appalachian Trail and is connected to a chemical-free vegetable and herb farm, heirloom apple orchard, and blueberry patch. The lodge is family-owned and run and located in one of the most beautiful areas of the country!

During your weekend stay, Lindsay and Mandi will teach the basics of plant identification, common mountain plant medicinals, and hands-on herbal preparation techniques. Phillip Kendall, the manager of the farm & lodge will guide us through the process of selecting and processing apples for fresh-pressed cider.
