“The Greek philosophical tradition also saw wonder and astonishment as the beginning of wisdom. In our own time, Einstein remarked that only idiots are incapable of wonder…
The more we discover, the more we marvel and wonder. But these two are not some kind of romantic imagination or fantasy. For Einstein, wonder lay in the fact that at certain moments the world becomes intelligible, that there is a possibility of resonance between our intelligence and the Cosmos, as if they were both animated by the same consciousness. Only after experiencing this wonder can we enter into the mystery of that which reigns over All.”

Some of you may have already read my previous post on Butterfly weed. This post you are reading now is just for pure enjoyment.
While driving home today from a talk I gave in northern MS on Plant Spirit Medicine, I found this lovely patch of Butterfly weed or Pleurisy Root. I wanted to show you all how important the group of plant called milkweed are for our pollinators, especially monarch butterflies whose numbers are dipping. And, there were a good number of other plants with blooms around them, but they only wanted the nectar-rich Butterfly weed.
So, enjoy the video I posted above and here’s some more images to enjoy!
