ReWild Weekend Retreat ~ Herbal Preparations, Wild Foraging, and Appalachian Heritage
at Kana’tii Lodge in Spring Creek, NC
October 3-5, 2014

Join Community Herbalists Lindsay Wilson and Mandi Sanders of MS-based Sweet Gum Springs Apothecary for a weekend retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina at Kana’ti Lodge.

The lodge is located right off the Appalachian Trail and is connected to a chemical-free vegetable and herb farm, heirloom apple orchard, and blueberry patch. The lodge is family-owned and run and located in one of the most beautiful areas of the country!

During your weekend stay, Lindsay and Mandi will teach the basics of plant identification, common mountain plant medicinals, and hands-on herbal preparation techniques. Phillip Kendall, the manager of the farm & lodge will guide us through the process of selecting and processing apples for fresh-pressed cider.

Each morning you will have the option to join in light stretching and, in the evenings, a bonfire fueled by stories. Food will be prepared with as many local ingredients as possible, tapping into the rich farming history of Appalachia.

Join us to appreciate the overwhelming biodiversity of Appalachia, to steep in the evening mountain sounds, and to tap into the memory of a unique, American culture.

Down a winding, mountain road, there is a lodge…we’ll meet you there. Registration info is below.
